Shaking Off the Rust

Shaking Off the Rust

Been a while, hasn't it?

Well don't take our silence as a sign of inactivity. We've been very busy behind the scenes. A whole host of folks got to see some of the new additions to the Farm out at our Winter game and the feedback we've gotten has been a great help in getting us geared up for the start of the season in April.

- Our last off-season game will be March 9th
The winter game was a huge success and I've been flooded with requests for another game before April. So because folks are chomping at the bit to get out there and play some airsoft, we're sneaking in another off-season game so y'all can go out and shoot each other. The game will be Saturday March 9th and will operate the same as our winter game.

All pre-ordered food and rentals will be available on the field, but there will be no extras. We will also be operating as cash-only until we get our debit machine back in April.

Because this is an off season game, we're also required to hit a threshold of players before game day. This is why I am encouraging players to pre-register online to ensure the game will operate. If the pre-requisite amount of pre-registered players is not hit before Friday March 8th, the game will be cancelled, all pre-registered players will receive a full refund, and we will spend the day as a build day to prepare for the field expansion.

The weather is looking good, so don't hesitate to register if you're wanting to get in another day of airsoft before April!!

- The Farm will be opening for our regular season at the start of April
Rumors have floated around and predictions have been made, but I'm here to tell you that we're officially announcing the return of our regular open play schedule at the start of April. The day will either be the 6th or the 13th, depending on when we get our new mesh up (read further). Keep your eyes open a little closer to the date for an official Season Opener announcement!

- The Farm will have 2 more fields to play on this season
We've had a phenomenal time planning, playing, and building our current play area. And even though we're constantly adding new additions to the field, even we believe a little variety is a good thing. That's why we're working to expand our mesh boundaries to allow for a much bigger play area. Some of those of you at the winter game were given the tour to see that we're planning on tripling the size of our playable area. Which means we'll have space for 2 whole separate fields to play on during skirmish days to allow for a rotation of fields and game modes to be played throughout the day, as well as a much larger play space for our newest type of game day: Scenario days.

- New game day type: Scenario Days
Ever wanted to experience an airsoft game longer and more in-depth than our usual skirmish games, but you don't want the hassle that comes with planning, packing, and paying for a larger multi-day milsim? That's where our Scenario Days come in.

Instead of our normal schedule of skirmish days (play a couple rounds for 30 minutes, come back for 10 minutes and reload, play another couple rounds, etc etc) we'll be running two continuous scenarios in the morning and afternoon. That means the game that starts at 10 will go until lunch, and the game that starts after lunch will go until the end of the day. This allows for a wider array of objective and story focused game modes, as well as a more immersive experience for players looking for a bridge between skirmish days and MILSIM events. Extra mags, extra ammo, and radio communication between your teammates will be a much larger part of these days. Those of you who have attended my events (Housewarming, Crimson Arrow, etc) in the past will be very familiar with this game format.

Keep your eyes open on our website and social medias for information on our Scenario Days!

Have an idea for a game mode or scenario you've been dying to try out at the Farm? Seen something on Youtube? Played a game at another field and want to bring it here? Shoot me an email at Drew@airsoftassault.ca and send me your ideas!

- Tickets will no longer be available for purchase online
You no longer have to worry about pre-purchasing your ticket to ensure your spot! With our upcoming field and parking lot expansion we've removed the player-cap on open play. This means we no longer have to keep track of player count and every open play day will be a walk-on only day! During our regular season, cash, debit, and credit will be available at the field to pay when you arrive.

Special days like events, contests, and off-season games will have ticket sales available online.

Rentals and pre-purchased food can still be ordered in advance online, but no longer need to be paired with a ticket.

- Ticket and rental prices have been raised
We tried to hold off as long as we could, but unfortunately it's here. Due to increasing expenses on our field, we've needed to raise the prices of admission to keep up with other fields in Ontario. Entry for the day has risen from $40 to $50, and a rental package has increased from $35 to $45. We're constantly trying new things to keep prices down, but unfortunately the world operates outside of our little airsoft field and we've gotta keep up. We appreciate our player's continued support and understanding, and we will always do our best to ensure you feel as though your money and support are well spent!
