Valken, A Pillar of Airsoft

What Happened?
In June 2025 the American paintball and airsoft company Valken Incorporated, based in New Jersey, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, eventually shutting down for good in October 2025.
Valken was beloved by the airsoft community and served as a starting point for many players, providing plenty of affordable options to get out and play. Since its founding in 2008, Valken dished out hit after hit, becoming the face of many stores and building the community around reliable and affordable gear.
Valken filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy to attempt a reorganization before complete liquidation. This did not come suddenly however, as Valken had clearly owed massive amounts of money to between 100-200 creditors. Before their shut down, Valken Incorporated reportedly owed over $10 million USD from creditors ranging from PayPal to government Administrations. Furthermore, Valken had upwards of $10 million USD worth of product at the time of filing, though these assets meant nothing in the face of paying money that was owed.
In October 2025, Valken Incorporated moved into chapter 7, full liquidation. Whether this was voluntary or directed by a judge, we do not know. The information regarding this decision is not publicly available. Following this, assets were abandoned as Valken could no longer afford to move and store their products. This ended Valken Incorporated for good.
Why?
So in the grand scheme of things, we can understand that Valken Incorporated shut down largely because they had an immense amount of debt accrued to hundreds of creditors. But the question is why? Were Airsoft sales plummeting? Why couldn't they afford to pay their debt? Why was the debt there in the first place?
For starters, no, Airsoft sales did not collapse. The collapse of Valken Incorporated largely happened due to the reliance of funding their operation with borrowed money, followed by a less than optimal cash-flow and failure to liquify. This is supported by the $5 million USD loan they borrowed from Wilmington Savings, their largest outstanding debt, which sat at $4.8 million USD at the time of their bankruptcy.
Most of Valken Incorporated's capital was stored within physical assets, making debt hard to pay off without selling those assets and a quick turnover on products. Valken wasn't a small business by any means, they were a manufacturer, importer and distributor of major airsoft and paintball goods, which requires a lot of money.
Ultimately, Valken had an expensive journey as a major pillar of airsoft and paintball gear, and ultimately, they unfortunately could not afford to maintain such endeavors.
What are we doing?
Even nearly a year after Valken shut down, Airsoft Assault still has a few Valken products remaining in stock! These products will remain in stock until they are sold out, so if you are itching for some Valken products, know that these are the last of its kind.
Further, we get a lot of repairs surrounding Valken AEGs, we can still provide repair services for most of these replicas, though direct parts are impossible to source. If you have any broken Valken gear that need fixing, feel free to swing by and we will do all we can!
